After being admitted to the Ohio Bar, John J. Helbling entered the United States Army on January 2, 1991 during Operation Desert Shield and served for four years of active duty, earning distinction and high honors as a top attorney with three Army Commendation Medals being awarded.

During his active duty, Mr. Helbing was responsible for international claims, legal assistance, and criminal defense.  As a trial defense attorney, he established himself as a prolific litigator, having the highest acquittal rate in his region.

After leaving the military, he started The Helbling Law Firm, L.L.C. in 1995. Mr. Helbling has a reputation for tenacious representation and superior results.  He has aided clients in a variety of areas of the law and his relentless work ethic has gained him respect amongst his peers.  Through his efforts, he has captured millions of dollars in compensation for his clients.
